our new toy

I am so excited for the arrival of our new piano. It arrived today after lunch. The boys stood in the mudroom for fifteen minutes watching and waiting for the moving truck. As soon as the piano was in place the playing began. I even got a turn. As I played some of the old songs I learned years ago, the boys plunked away, happily trying to harmonize with their mom. I flipped through several piano books looking for familiar songs. Jesse got off the bench and came over holding one of his truck books. He held it out to me and expected me to play some truck songs. (I think). Nathaniel graciously agreed to play from his truck storybook. Jesse was content.

Thank you Dad and Mom for graciously giving us the family piano. I realize that it is hard to part with our family's history. But I am excited for our family's budding musicians and the beautiful music that will be learned on such a wonderful instrument.
