angela and noah part two
Here are a few of my favorites of our time out in the forest. This location was perfect - tall bare trees, beautiful white snow falling, a couple of passing snowmobiles (seriously this happened!) and a few minutes of the sun appearing in the sky. I can't express how excited I was to see those sun rays. I had said a little prayer earlier that day for the sun to make an appearance when we were in those trees and I jumped for joy when I saw it.
I was also so thankful to have Andrew come exactly when we arrived at this location. He was our comic relief, jacket holder and my hands when I couldn't open my camera to change my memory card (my fingers were so cold I couldn't move them anymore.) I think we made a great team. But back to the beautiful couple...

angela and noah part one
Time to start sharing more images from the first wedding I photographed a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy!
I absolutely love this one of Angela.
Their first meeting.

knowle
There are some children that you meet and you know they are going to be interesting adults. This usually doesn't happen with one month olds, but as soon as I saw this look, I knew, this boy is going to be fun. (And maybe a bit of a handful!) And I can not get over his gorgeous blue eyes! I could stare at them for hours!
They're a bit smitten too!
This little guy was such a champ when taking pictures. Once he was asleep, he did so well with getting moved around and repositioned.
I also had to take some pictures of his cool nursery.
This book was the inspiration and his grandma painted the canvas and valance. She is an amazing artist.

top pick
He is generally a pretty easy going kid. But when it comes to clothing choices, he is much more particular. Every morning I open his drawer and ask him to pick out pants and a shirt. If he had his choice, this would be the shirt he would wear every single day. Thankfully when I tell him his firefighter shirt is in the laundry, he has 2 or 3 other shirts he will wear. But this one. It's definitely his top pick.

nathaniel's 6th birthday
My boy is 6. I always like to get a special shot of my kids on their birthday. This is what he was willing to give me on Friday. He was much more interested in what was coming later in the day. His first friend birthday party. We decided to celebrate with friends at Funworx, an indoor playground. As soon as we got there, the kids all ran for the huge climbing equipment.
Except this guy. It was much too intimidating for him. He decided to take a ride.
After letting off steam on the play equipment, the kids focused on the mini arcade and using up their tokens. Abigail struck gold when she received 300 tickets at one game.
For others it was all about learning which games would give them the most tickets.
Everyone loved this one.
After the games, it was time to head into our glow in the dark party room. We had pizza, pop and popcorn.
There were tons of giggles.
Nathaniel's most anticipated activity. Presents.
All the goofy party goers. We had a great mix of siblings, neighbour, school and church friends.
Then cake.
Before the party ended, the birthday boy was allowed one chance in the birthday tornado.
With proper eye protection, his mission was to collect as many tickets as he could as the fan blew into the booth.
His strategy was very wise. Stay low and grab.
It was a very successful minute. He was then allowed to choose one ticket from his stash.
He chose free slushies for everyone. They were a hit and the perfect ending to a great 6th birthday party.
