listen closely

What could be heard from our house this evening? A huge exhale from Andrew and lots of cheers from me. Why you might ask? Andrew finally received the results from the exam he wrote in February. The result...HE PASSED!!! He wanted to wait until the boys were asleep to open the envelope in the off chance that it was not good news. I came out from putting Jesse to sleep and took one look at Andrew sitting at the table reading his letter. He played it cool for about 5 seconds then flashed a huge smile and a thumbs up. He was subdued. I was not. I did a little dance (for the both of us) and jumped up and gave my amazing student a huge hug. This has been a tough wait for Andrew. Results were supposed to be mailed out mid-May. He would brace himself everyday he came home waiting for THE letter to arrive. Finally the cloud of anticipation has been lifted. I think it will take a while to sink in for Andrew. But he should be so proud of all the hours of studying, the intense concentration and the amazing skill he has as a physiotherapist.
If you know Andrew and his dedication to learning, you know how hard he has worked and how much pressure he has put on himself. He deserves this affirmation. Enjoy it Andrew. You are amazing!

Congratulations Andrew!! That is quite the journey you've been on and an accomplishment you should be (and probably are) very proud of! I'm doing a little dance of my own for you!
