inspiration

I've been enjoying some scrapbooking inspiration lately, so I am needing to focus on this creativity and get some pages done. The scrapbook that I did about myself really put me behind on the kids' books. I am trying to get a lot accomplished and not get more than a year behind. It is close. I am working on pictures from last June and hoping to tackle all of the summer photos soon. It is interesting to look back at Jesse's pictures from last spring. His interests haven't really changed but his physical development sure has. The first layout is a summary of his first year. I have done summary pages for all the kids. One for their first year and another for their second. I take pictures of them on the same day each month (corresponding with their birthday) and put them all on a layout. Here is Jesse's. (Yeah, some of the photos appear a bit dark on the layout. This was before I learned about positioning when taking a photo.)

I love this layout about Jesse's interest in the neighbour's dog. He still runs over to Scruffy now but first searches for a stick to bring his dog companion. Scruffy is so amazing around children and doesn't mind a few pulls or pokes from Jesse.
