If you remember what our second floor looked like before, you will definitely appreciate the huge changes to this space now. As you walk up the stairs, you enter the new hallway. If you turn right and continue to the back of the house, you enter the new master bedroom.
Earlier, I talked about the last minute addition of an extra window in this room. Below is the space before the window installation.

The after.
Below is the wall opposite the new windows.
This is the wall for the bed.
The view into our ensuite.
Looking into the bedroom from the ensuite.
Inside the ensuite, looking into the shower.
The wall of the shower and the spot for the toilet.
A peek into the shower with the niche for bottles and soap.
Another view into the ensuite.
Door to the right leads to the ensuite. Door to the left leads to our closet.
Working back to the front of the house, you first pass Jesse's future bedroom. This view looks into the hall.
His bed will fit against this wall.
Jesse's future closet.
The next room is Nathaniel's bedroom.
The picture below shows a major design dilemma that was not planned. All the venting needed a way from the attic into the main floor. The best spot was in the wall between Nathaniel's bedroom and the master. Unfortunately there is now a huge bulkhead in Nathaniel's room.
Here it is all drywalled. We are going to work with this and put the bed in this niche while building some cubbies on either side for lighting, books, clock, etc.
Other views of this room...
Closet.
As you head back to the stairs you walk into the office at the very front of the house. (The kids bathroom is to the right. The space is a bit tight to get any effective progress pictures.)
The wall dividing the bathroom and the office. First it was open.
And then it was closed. This will be the spot for my future desk and computer. I'll be spending a lot of time here. And turning around, you see the door up to the attic.
Attic pictures to come.
