camping 2011 part one
We just returned from our first camping trip of the summer. We really enjoy visiting our local provincial parks, so this year we stayed at Point Farms. This was the first time our family had camped with friends and as a parent of young children I have to say that this is the way to go. Our kids got along so well and the adult campfires were definitely a highlight. We all had such an amazing time together that we are already planning next year's trip.
Nathaniel started the week with a slight fever which meant he was pretty subdued until the fever meds kicked in. But soon he was running around with the other 4.
All 5 kids spent lots of time with the crafts. I was shocked by how focused Nathaniel was with colouring. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of that.
Story time was also a highlight, especially for Jesse. He would eagerly follow Judah around asking for another story featuring Jesse the soldier.
On our first evening, we walked down to the nearby beach.
There were many campfires.
Hammocks are a good thing!
The older kids really got into carving.
More pictures coming soon!
