these two
This morning my grocery shopping trip with these two had its crazy moments. I usually go through the produce aisles first but for some reason I did things backwards today. When first thinking about this it doesn't really seem to put up too many red flags. Only that the bulk section is just off the produce area. Tons of brightly coloured candy with opening lids plus two antsy boys equals one crazed mother. I must say that my boys are generally very well behaved. Nathaniel can have his moments that just fuel Jesse's excitement. This was one of those moments. So, as I tried to bag my cashews, my boys were going crazy with the jujubes. I had an older lady reprimand them and a store employee give them a dirty look as I tried to regain some control. Nathaniel started running in the opposite direction and Jesse squirmed in my arms as I attempted to put him back in the cart. What eventually worked? Threatening to give back the chocolate croissant I had just picked out for Nathaniel. These kinds of threats can really stop him in his tracks. And thankfully the rest of our shopping trip went much smoother. I am very glad that I put two croissants in the bag because I deserved one when our trip was done.
