It is exciting when your child first learns to print their own name. It is not so exciting when they practice on every conceivable surface of your home. I'm not sure what it was that inspired Abigail to share this skill permanently on our home, but she did. Many times. Here is the proof.
She etched her name into the windowsill of the mudroom. That's going to be with us a long time.
On the door of her old room.
On her pillowcase. This has been washed MANY times and can still be seen.
On her lampshade.
On a scrap piece of wood in the work room.
On her "mail box" upstairs. (I leave her notes in her box and she leaves notes in my box. This was her wonderful idea.)
On her craft table. These last 2 are recent and show that this need to permanently leave her mark is dissipating. I've been meaning to take pictures of these for ages and so glad I finally did!
