migration

(My apologies for the blurry picture. Yes, they are wearing pull ups on their heads.)

Well folks, the sleeping saga of our boys continues. I'm not sure if it is Abigail sharing her lessons of hiberation, dormancy, active and migration, or perhaps some deep seeded fear of their individual bedrooms. Whatever is the cause, my boys have decided that our bed is the place to be at night. Each and every night these two migrate from their own cozy beds and crawl into ours. Sometimes not so peacefully. It is a shame that when my boys need redirection and some active parenting, both Andrew and I would rather roll over and ignore the situation. It is so much easier to make space for a little one then get up and guide them back to their own beds. Let us hope this is just a phase - a phase of newly acquired fears (Jesse said his crib was "Scawee" last night). Perhaps when they begin sharing a bedroom (the plan is to rearrange everyone during the Christmas break) they will develop their own personal late night support group. (I've been reading way too many social work books.) Wouldn't it be nice if we found Jesse neatly tucked into bed beside Nathaniel after a full 10 hours of sleep?
