choo choo

This was day 2 of a week full of planned day trips. All the pictures from yesterday's trip to Toronto Zoo are a bit daunting right now, so these pics from today's trip to St. Jacob's Market via the Waterloo train are much more doable. The last time we took the train as a family was when Jesse was just a baby. I can't remember why we didn't go last year, but until the kids beg not to go, I can see this as an annual excursion. Of course my boys love trains and Abigail was also excited to go. We sit on an old train built in the 1920s and slowly make our way into St. Jacobs.

We enjoyed the viewing train with the kids. Jesse was content to watch all the corn fields.

At the market we had enough time to have lunch, buy some produce and take a bounce on the bouncy castle. Abigail and Nathaniel were totally wiped after their 5+ minutes going non stop. The breathless giggles are so sweet to hear.

As we waited for the train to take us back to Waterloo, the kids enjoyed a treat.

I took advantage of the warm sun and had a rest.

And as the train approached, the train whistle was too loud for Jesse. He took off down the hill and watched from a safer distance.
