I love going on daytrips. That is why I was so pumped when my sister-in-law suggested a family daytrip to a beautiful inn in East Aurora, NY. The weather was glorious and the setting was stunning. We all gathered Sunday morning and crossed the border together. We had reservations for Sunday brunch at the Roycroft Inn. We arrived early and enjoyed the campus and the beautiful gift shop with crafts made by local artisans. The short history lesson that I received about the Inn was that it is the birthplace of Mission style furniture.
We enjoyed the brunch and the beautiful music from the string quartet.

I think the girl cousins loved being able to sit by themselves.

And the youngest three were so excited to be wearing coordinating outfits.

Nathaniel's favorite cousin...Silas of course! (This is one of my favorite pictures of the two of them.)

The grounds of the inn are beautiful with lots of perennials and spring blooming flowers. Perfect for some outside shots.

We took some time to get a picture of all the cousins. Then we went down the street to a nearby park. We all enjoyed the sunshine and playtime. Nathaniel and Andrew were having a blast playing at the swings.

Nathaniel was asking Andrew to stand in front of him so he could kick his bum.

Andrew obliged.
And Nathaniel was loving it.

Oma and Opa enjoying the kids playing. Jesse had just woken up from a nap and was not feeling well. He was pretty low key the whole day.
The men chatting. I think they were talking about the awesome basketball net here. The deeper conversations came later.
Some more goofing around with these two.
Before we left, we had to stop in at the infamous Vidler's five and dime store. Lots of stuff to see and play with. We let the kids choose one thing to buy.
I was sure Nathaniel was going to want one of these cars. But, he chose a package of Razzles candy. Abigail chose a candy stick.
