Okay, I don't follow hockey. I don't particularly enjoy watching it and I certainly do not get excited when I think about sitting inside a cold rink. So, when Andrew mentioned last night that Nathaniel has some natural ability when it comes to stick handling and that he has an awesome shot, I was not jumping for joy. Sure, if this is his thing and he finds his passion in the sport, I will be the mom standing in the cold rink cheering my son on. I got a glimpse of this passion this afternoon when he asked to play hockey and practice some stick handling. He set up the net and got his "hockey equipment" on. He was sporting his bike helmet, mittens, and his fleece was his stand in jersey.
Could he be a future NHLer? Wouldn't it be great if we got an NHL team in the KW area? Okay. Hockey's not all bad.
