january - project life

This is my fifth year tackling my photo a day project.  There are times when picking up my camera throughout the week is a chore.  But the longer I do this project, the more forgiving I become.  If I've missed a week of photos, I'll be sure to spend lots of time one day noticing the small things around my home and the every day activities.  Although there are hours of work put into these books, it is so worth the time when I see how my children gravitate towards them and remember so many fun activities we have done together.

I am also very aware of how busy I am and how neglected my blog has been this past year.  I thought providing a collage of my photos for a month would be a great way of staying connected with friends and family.  Here's a look at some things we did last month.

Skating on our backyard rink, inviting friends for an afternoon of skating and food, a trip to the dentist for everyone in our family, out for Nathaniel's birthday, Jesse starting really early on his Valentines (which we have now lost!), the arrival of my 2012 project life album, Andrew and the kids searching for ipod covers, Abigail and her friend making chocolate chip cookies, celebrating Nathaniel's friend birthday at Funworx with rock climbing and ropes, Jesse's black eye from an outdoor fall, Nathaniel enjoying his new remote helicopter and some very cold temperatures.

this is a great collage and a wonderful way to document memories. Great to see you in there too!
