Yesterday we celebrated Easter with Andrew's family. The weather was beautiful so we stayed outside all day. First the kids played in the backyard.
Then it was time for the Easter hunt to begin. We continued the tradition of all the kids travelling together to find different adults. At each stop the kids collect one treat/toy.
Like last year, Andrew chose a very high hiding spot. Last year was the tv antenna on top of the house. This year was at the top of the tree.
At this stop the boys received mustaches.
And this sparked an idea to do this with a family during a photo session. (Contact me if you're game. I think this would be awesome!)
Last stop was to find Oma for Easter chocolates.
Time to eat. (The mustache is freaking me out a bit here.)
Now Jesse was willing to give it a go.
It lasted a few seconds.
After eating outside, Nathaniel was eagerly waiting to celebrate his birthday. This was the first time we've gotten together as a family since Christmas. The winter birthdays were all celebrated today.
He received two playmobil spy kits. He loves them! He even had a bath tonight to try out his boat.
Part 2 of our Easter weekend coming soon!
