It is dance recital season again. This year Abigail's studio is presenting Snow White. Abigail is a villager. Last night Abigail attended the dress rehearsal. They were able to come in costume and make up, perform their dance on stage and watch the other dancers practice their routines as well.
Abigail usually is nervous before any kind of performance. But the bright lights mean she doesn't need to see anyone in the audience. She says this helps with her nerves.
The girls all love this year's costume. They look beautiful next to all the other dancers.
The boys and I sat and enjoyed watching the girls go through their routine perfectly.
Love this action shot. It is a challenge to take pictures in a dark theatre without flash, but I still love this picture of Abigail and her classmates skipping around the stage. Abigail is in the middle.
This picture captures Abigail's awe of the older girls and their beautiful dancing. It was a challenge for me to get my 3 kids out of the theatre when Abigail was finished dancing. Nathaniel was hungry and was ready to go home, but Jesse was happy crawling around the seats and watching when the girls started dancing. Abigail was completely focused on the costumes and the other dance routines. My girl is hooked on dancing.

Dancing has been such an amazing part of my life, and it's always lovely to see young people finding a space for themselves in it.
