I took this picture about half an hour ago. The boys put on some music and wanted to do some dancing. So, here they are dancing to Dora's Christmas CD. (Totally need to give this back to you Cheryl!) This picture isn't anything super special but when I look at the details it reminds of the things that my boys are into right now. First thing - they like playing on our coffee table. I realize some parents will be in shock that I let my children do this. What can I say? It's never been a big one for me. I generally don't let them jump on the coffee table so I can try and prevent major spills. But jumping off happens more frequently.
What else can I say about this picture. Jesse almost always takes his socks off. Nathaniel too for that matter. I can usually find a number of socks around the family room and under the kitchen table at nighttime.
Jesse also likes to push up his sleeves. The one must have slipped down with all his dancing.
Nathaniel picked out this shirt because we were playing lions after lunch. He explained that lions have lots of fur and the hood is like a mane so that is why he chose it.
Hmm....yes. Jesse is looking quite tired. We're in this transition of whether to let Jesse nap or not. Yesterday I let him sleep for around an hour after falling asleep on the way back from getting the kids from school. Andrew couldn't get him to sleep until 9 pm. I figure if he can stay up today, I'll be able to put him to sleep around 6:30.
Nathaniel is really into talking about exercise. Probably because I insist that he get some so he isn't bouncing off the walls come supper time. He'll talk about how important it is for him to get exercise so he can get more energy. On Wednesday he came up with this one "Mom, can I go on the computer? I think I need some exercise for my fingers!" What a gem!

I think you have two precious gems in this photo! N. seems to be coming up with such neat comments that show his growing awareness. Fascinating!
